Steve Rogers x reader- part 5

"You-"

"Before you ask me to leave, can we just talk?" Steve had a serious tone to go with his face. You gulped as you stared into his eyes. Steve walked over to the couch and sat down. Body turned towards you, Steve took a large breath before speaking

"Look (y/n), I have to be honest. I'm worried about you"

"Why?" The words left your trembling mouth in a faint sound.

"Well....since what happened last time you've been avoiding me, and only speaking to me when I needed help with this new technology" 

You breath and swallowed the saliva that was building up in your mouth. You were slightly trembling. Ready to cry, and Steve already noticed. But did not make a move without a sign of approval from you.

"Is there anything I should know about?" 

Anything. The word rang in your head. You wanted to tell him anything, if not everything about you. But you were just too scare to lose anybody else. To lose someone who you thought would have been at your side every time you needed them.

You sighed. It was no hope of hiding it. People found out, one way or another.

"Steve...I'm not all human..."

"That's alright, who here is?"

You turned to him. Eyes tearing.

"I...it's not like I was in some gamma ray accident like Bruce, was born talented at something except art, like Natasha, Clint, or tony. I also wasn't injected with a serum, and I wasn't born a god"

"Then what is it?" Steve placed his hand gently on your shoulder.

"I-I'm a monster with wings.."tears ran down your cheeks, and Steve quickly embraced you.

"Your not a monsters, your far from that.your an angel."

"No I'm not!" You pushed him away. Stepping away from, you subconsciously headed towards the large glass window behind you.

You groaned in pain as your hidden limbs sprung from your back. It's been so long since you showed anyone, since you stretched them out. It never really hurt when you stretched them, unless you hid them for too long.

"Steve..I..how could I be an angel even with these wings, and this..this beastly strength?" You bawled your hands into fist infront of you. For Steve to see, as your skin gave off a slight smoke at the action. Almost as if your skin was steaming.(a/n: I know the first thing most of you thought about was snk XD)

Steve jumped on his feet, and made his way to your side instantly. He could care less about wings as long as you were okay.

"Are you alright?"he ran his large hand up and down your arm. The heat from your body warming his hand instantly. You retracted your arm from his grip and stepped back further. You swayed your wings in one swift strong move, and shattered the window.

When Steve tried to pull you back as your cried, you pushed him. Sending him almost flying across the room.

"I'm sorry" your voice was hardly audible.

Steve reached out his hand, and mumbled some wonders. But you were already gone.
